I am an inkwell.
I am a pen.
I am some paper
Thrown out to start again.
My eyes are night skies.
My eyes are Draco.
My eyes are Orion.
My eyes are Leo.
My mind is a bookshelf.
My mind is a swarm.
My mind is all colors,
And words without form.
My heart is a child
That cries late at night.
My heart is a mother
That soothes and holds tight.
I am the letters
Written before the dawn.
I am the wall
So often leaned on.
But I am not your fireplace.
A pit to dump your sorrows.
I am no library of strength.
I have none for you to borrow.
I am not some sentient ear
Who can take in all you say.
I am not a Kevlar vest.
Your bullets don’t ricochet.
Your words are all dead weight to me.
And they lodge inside my gut.
Lead pellets that I’m swallowing
Left in my core to rot.
And now look what you’ve asked of me!
To spit back soothing tunes.
You are not a friend to me
Why should I be one for you?
And now I am the hypocrite
Who shouts out in the night.
The preacher who has lost his faith.
A drunk, looking for a fight.
In loneliness we’re blind and deft
Strangers groping in the dark.
Corpses shouting and clawing and ripping
at even the smallest spark.
I am not your savior.
I am not your Christ.
And I cannot save you all
Though try and try I might.
To pull you from the darkness.
To give you back your sight.
To lead you from this desert.
This endless, tortured night.
But I am just an inkwell.
I am just a pen.
So throw away your letters.
Don’t write to me again.
So I think it’s only fair at this point to say that I’m putting this blog on an indefinite hiatus. I don’t know if I’ll ever get my muse back for it. I’m sorry.
But I do still roleplay. Even in the very tiny Perks sphere. But for privacy reasons and to prevent any backlash from this blog I’m afraid I won’t be sharing any URLs. If you’ve roleplayed with me and would like my personal tumblr you can message me (off anonymous) and I’ll give it to you.
I enjoyed this muse and this blog and the people I met on it. Maybe someday I’ll be back. But if not… please believe that things are good with me, and even if they are not, they will be soon enough. And I will believe the same for you.

This is all information a friend and I collected for a final project in our English class this year, which was to create a PSA and pitch it to the Ad Council. Of course we didn’t actually send the public service videos in (I’m not even sure how that’s done), but I feel like this is a really prevalent issue and my research on the topic only strengthens my belief in that. So I wanted to try and get my video and our print ad out there.
Cyberbullying is everywhere, and I know a lot of people like to close their eyes and plug their ears and pretend that tumblr is a perfect place where none of that happens and everyone accepts each other, but anonymous hate messages (and even non-anonymous ones) are a serious issue here as well. I know because I’ve seen it and experienced it first hand on some of my other blogs where I post my writing and photographs. People are absolutely cruel to one another, and they think they can get away with it just because it’s online. And we have got to get rid of that mentality. It’s not okay, and it’s never going to be, and we have to stop letting it be. People have got to realize what a serious issue this truly is.
Before we left the party, Sam played me a few of her favorite songs. One was called “Blackbird.” -The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Just four more days of school left for me. Then it’s summer. I’m really looking forward to getting back on here without all the stress. I hope you haven’t forgotten me, everyone.
we can be hero’s, just for one day.
“I felt really bad for Patrick. He wasn’t doing the impersonation to be mean or anything. He was just trying to make us freshmen feel better.”
Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.
